About the Role

Team Description

Global Product Strategy will be responsible for developing scaleable, repeatable strategies for designing and distributing next generation solutions from inception to funding and then oversight as these go into general availability around the world. The Market intelligence team owns and manages the gathering of data, research and analytics to help the strategy organization and company at large make decisions.

Role Purpose

To lead and manage a growing and dedicated market intelligence team. This includes competitive, market and industry knowledge and research to help answer open questions or client issues. Critical role in assuring SWIFT continues to stay on the pulse of the market and adjust its strategy accordingly. Drive analysis with factual data to assist in scenario planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management including, but not limited to; knowledge transfer, coaching, motivating and career management of your team members.

  • Leverage analysis, research, and internally and externally sourced data and information to help answer inquiries and problem statements of SWIFT and its ecosystem.

  • Back decision making and priority with fact based scenario planning and analysis.

  • Bring facts and data to back vision and align strategy in the market appropriately.

  • Convey an outside-in view to support plans to sustain & grow SWIFT scale & reach with research and data

  • Use internal and external tools and knowledge to consolidate scenario planning.

  • Use analysis to educate internal stakeholders and gain feedback from clients and external counterparties for a rounded view and position.

  • Own a strategic functional area focus and partner with internal teams to execute on prioritized projects and programs of work.

  • Own competitive intelligence for specific names and manage update with senior management on frequent basis.

  • Manage various adhoc projects and programs based on news and other intel gained in the market.

  • Prepare documents and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients to present insight and gain knowledge to help shape the vision and strategy of SWIFT.

Education

University degree

Experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in analytics, research and market intelligence role, with at least half of that time within a team lead/manager capacity.

  • Experience doing detailed scenario planning and problem solving.

  • Research and analytic mind-set and focus.

  • Financial Services and specifically Payment experience ideal but not necessary.

  • Proven problem solving background and inquisitive nature.
