Program Manager - Clinical Contracts

What you will be doing:

The Program Manager is responsible for sourcing and management for the portfolio of contracts within an assigned service line, which will include multiple contracts or relationships. The Program Manager will work with all hospital departments to facilitate and contract for all necessary goods and services needed per the established policies and procedures of NYC H+H through the bid/RFP/contracting process. This position requires leadership, guidance and support to all staff in order to develop best in class strategies with exceptional results. The Program Manager is responsible for working with all Clinical/Non-Clinical and Supply Chain Management partners through a collaborative process of committee building, identifying scopes of work, conducting proper sourcing events, contracting, and documentation.

Specifically, the Program Manager will be responsible for

  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Coordinate internal resources and vendors for execution of tasks and projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed
  • Motivating people involved in the project to complete tasks on time
  • Writing, evaluating, negotiating and executing various contracts covering a range of transactions
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Monitoring contracts and moving forward with close-out, extension or renewal of contracts
  • Problem-solving contract-related issues

5 or more years applicable experience

Skills & Experience:

Contract Operations, Data Analysis, Health Care, Project Management

Education:

Bachelors

Relevant Experience to include:

  • Problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Proven working experience in project management and performance management
  • Proven working experience with process improvement
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills, and planning
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience with analytics, gathering, interpreting, and analyzing data

Education:

Masters Degree

CMRP or CPSM Certifications
