Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, NY. Vice President for Machine Learning Model Lifecycle domain on the Digital Finance Account Management team whose mission is to design and build resilient applications by adopting standard industry techniques including micro-service architectural design, agile methodology, software development life cycle and web application technologies to deliver projects within the Consumer and Investment Management division. Directly interact with project stakeholders across internal organization units such as but not limited to Product, Business, Legal and Compliance, Data Science, and Analytical teams to determine business and technical requirements. Directly interact with representatives from external organizations such as but not limited to vendors and institutional clients in order to develop technical requirements and build solutions. Analyze system processes, application data and functional requirements to inform design of new features and/or optimize existing technical solutions. Use of Agile methodology techniques to build project plans and estimate effort and time required to build, test and deploy solutions. Coordinate activities between team members both locally and across the globe in software and infrastructure development adhering to the Firm's standards and guidelines, using technologies and tools including, but not limited to Python, Java, Terraform, SpringBoot, Tensorflow, Spark, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, and DynamoDB. Perform peer technical reviews to validate that the solution conforms to agreed-upon design. Design and build suites of unit and integration tests to verify that solution meets user and system requirements. Coordinate and review system change requests from stakeholders, evaluate alternative solutions, document decisions, and justify/defend recommendations. Respond to production issues and alerts, evaluate log files from multiple systems, identify trends and root causes of failures, propose technical fixes, evaluate alternate proposals, and implement fixes following the Firm's procedures. Mentor and train junior team members.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Applied Mathematics or a related field. Minimum five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include five (5) years with: Building Java applications using Maven; Building web applications and frameworks; Implementing Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology, from development to deployment using GIT; Production support and incident management with adherence to prevent breaches in service level agreements (SLAs) and utilizing techniques such as Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs). Prior experience must include three (3) years with: Scripting with programming languages including Bash, Python and JavaScript; Building resilient, distributed and scalable systems on both hosted and cloud platforms using micro-service architecture and technologies including AWS; Using Spring Boot framework to build services; Utilizing continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous testing; Relational databases and persistence technologies; Building RESTful Web APIs. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: Using event-driven and streaming computing technologies including Apache Kafka; Working with the document-oriented database MongoDB; Working with software project management techniques including Agile and Scrum methodology.
