YouthBuild Alumni Engagement VISTA-Brooklyn, NY
DREAMS YouthBuild & Young Adult Training Program is Antioch
Development Corporation's Brooklyn-based alternative school and
vocational training program that helps opportunity youth, ages
16-24, obtain high school equivalency diplomas and job skills,
secure employment and go on to college or vocational school. As a
YouthBuild USA affiliate, the program offers paid construction
training to students who gain valuable skills and certification
from OSHA and the National Center for Construction Education and
Research while helping to rehabilitate affordable housing in their
communities. Since the program began in 2007, DREAMS YouthBuild has
successfully engaged over 475 opportunity youth from Crown Heights
and surrounding neighborhoods in becoming Dedicated, Responsible,
Educated, Accountable, Motivated and Self-Sufficient. Further help

Member Duties : The Alumni Engagement VISTA will create
programs, systems, and relationships to increase communication and
engagement with YouthBuild graduates. This position will
create/update an alumni database, develop and implement an alumni
outreach strategy, design and create communication materials, plan
and coordinate events, establish alumni clubs, create partnerships,
seek funding to support alumni activities, or lead other projects
to increase engagement with YouthBuild alumni.
