As the CRO Manager, you will help drive conversions by building and implementing on-site tests to validate hypotheses and optimize the user experience. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Optimization and Analytics, you will help implement the CRO strategy across all Crain brand websites with the goal of increasing subscriptions and user engagement. This role requires experience with online, consumer-facing properties and a strong familiarity with analytics and on-site testing tools to leverage insights into actionable plans to increase revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, QA, and implement on-site tests to optimize conversions.
  • Serve as a liaison across brands to evaluate, prioritize, develop, and execute on-site tests
  • Leverage website data and brand goals to create and maintain a list of testing priorities.
  • Work with the CRO team to deliver a quarterly plan for continual testing and enhancements to the user experience that drives improvements in KPIs.
  • Analyze results to identify insights and recommendations and effectively communicate these findings to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with partners in Marketing to optimize conversions across all marketing efforts
  • Participate in or lead weekly progress meetings to update stakeholders on current projects and deliverables
  • Assist in user-testing and research projects to understand user journeys and leverage insights to improve conversion rates and other KPIs

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, an analytics field, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience running experiments to optimize websites and marketing campaigns
  • Proficiency with on-site testing platforms (Adobe Target, Optimizely, Piano) to setup, launch, develop experiments
  • Strong familiarity with web analytics and measurement tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
  • Experience with heat map analysis, user testing, and other CRO technologies
  • Understanding of customer experience levers that drive online engagement and conversion
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to details and deadlines

Preferences

  • Knowledge of and experience with UX design principles
  • Experience in data visualization/reporting
  • Experience with website development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript)

This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
