Job Summary

FreeWheel's Client Solutions team takes an innovative, collaborative, and white-glove approach in providing best-in-class services and forward-looking business solutions for the media industry. Client Solutions (Demand) team is tasked with developing creative and pioneering solutions to the business challenges faced by the world's largest demand-side media companies - particularly Agency Holding Companies. We are a vital partner for other Freewheel functions, and your communication skills, passion for media, and business/technical acumen will all contribute to the development of complex solutions that power the future of the industry. Your solutions will take many forms, from POCs and demos, to large multi-faceted deployments of new and existing demand-side technology. About the role Reporting to the Senior Director, Client Solutions (Demand), the Solution Engineer acts as a primary point of contact for clients when an opportunity or need for a new solution is required. Collaborates with other functions across FreeWheel to bring new technology to market, from Go-To-Market strategy to general acceptance ensuring all of our products have a best-in-class solution fit. They will work as part of a global team that can be deployed on global, regional and/or local opportunities as required.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Solution Engineers globally to develop our Solution Engineering best practices and processes

  • Collaborate with other Freewheel functions to bring new demand-side technology to market on a global, regional or local basis as required.

  • Partner with Revenue by consulting on new opportunities, analyzing business and/or technical needs and assessing solution fit for clients.

  • Develop strategic, cost-effective business and/or technical solutions.

  • Lead the design, documentation, communication and/or implementation of solutions with our clients.

  • Engage with clients, partners and other Freewheel functions using your skills and experience to run meetings, workshops and solution playbacks to develop knowledge bases filled with fresh, validated information as required.

  • Work with Product and Engineering to size solutions (excluding development) required for new opportunities to understand the effort involved in taking it to market / implementing it with clients.

  • Work closely with other members of the team to ensure we are timely and profitable, and deliver return on investment for our clients. Refine solutions by taking input from wherever necessary to make sure it is best fit for the client within contractual and project parameters.

  • Actively verifies that solutions are implemented as designed by establishing quality controls with effective and efficient processes.

  • Provide support for clients during and post-implementation until solutions are stable. Hand over support to Global Support by providing effective documentation.

  • Work with Product and Engineering through the product lifecycle to ensure that products meet agreed standards and that tools are provided for an effective and efficient implementation and support.

  • Work with Product and Engineering through the product lifecycle to ensure that products meet agreed market and client requirements.

  • Track product adoption to understand feature usage levels and patterns throughout the product lifecycle and customer journey. Work with clients, partners and other Freewheel functions to improve adoption.

  • Ensure correct data is available in a timely manner to understand key metrics such as cost to service and productive utilization.

While these characteristics will outweigh any specific technical skills, the successful candidate should have:

  • Experience in digital media, specifically within and/or servicing media agencies in a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of the advertising industry especially media agencies and their goals.

  • Excellent presentation aptitude with strong client-facing communication skills; ability to explain technical capabilities to CEO's and CTO's, but also understands programming and networking concepts and terminology.
