A Data Science company is looking for a Senior ETL Developer
that will assist in the creation of data products that provide
insights on company and industry trends. This company is focused on
the analysis and structuring of complex datasets with the goal of
providing investment managers with data-driven, fundamental
insights and enabling them to better understand company trends.
This candidate will be responsible for design of highly scalable
and reliable data pipelines to ingest, integrate, and analyze large
transaction-level data from various sources to support the rapidly
changing needs of the business. Develop QA/QC suites to process,
cleanse, and verify the integrity of incoming transaction-level
data, including data anomaly detection, and monitor the performance
of models in production.
There are two product focused teams; one teams goal is to bring in
data and enhance, identify anomalies, and make data more appealing
without analysis. They sell product directly to clients and also
send downstream to the analytical team to build reports out of the
data to identify trends and potentially enhance data to identify
This specific team has three other developers; they have a daily
standup and share work, maintain backlogs and project plans in
Jira, 2 week sprints. Typically project work is independent or with
one other developer.
Preference for individuals with knowledge of EHR & claims data
models, understanding of issues with data quality and data
standardization practices, as well as integration of patient-level
Preference for experience with AWS technologies like S3, EC2, as
well as data tools like Snowflake and Spark
3+ years of experience working with large data sets (TB-size)
Proven experience to process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of

Strong programming experience with Python and SQL required, with
the ability to write well-documented production-level code
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Data Science,
Economics or related
