Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-Finance Tech Solutions.

In this role, the successful candidate as the Manager of the Finance Technology Solutions team will be responsible for assisting in leading system change management processes in accordance with the Finance policies through diligent reviews of business processes, system change requests/improvements of critical financial processes in PeopleSoft Financials and other key applications within Finance.
The Manager will lead the review of all change requests, testing plans, and overseeing compliance and adherence to established change management processes for all financial system updates, implementations, or projects.
Additional areas of responsibilities include: contribution to finance policy development, particularly those with system reliance or impact; ensuring application functionality is in line with Finance policies; supporting the business in day-to-day operations of system/data processes (eg. supplier/item master, procurement and payables transactions, expenses, interfacing applications, etc.), developing interface and application controls for various areas within Finance; and evaluating automation and efficiency initiatives may that have an enterprise and or application impact.
The Manager will assess business process strengths, weaknesses and risks both internally within Finance and enterprise-wide for specific initiatives including the development of controls, test plans and full-cycle change management and documentation. The Manager ideally should possess a strong background in financial/supply chain operations, data analysis, and/or auditing/compliance with solid experience utilizing PeopleSoft Financials and/or PeopleSoft HCM products. Experience with PeopleSoft query as well as security and the principles of segregation of duties is desirable, particularly when working with business partners and stakeholders on customized solutions and business processes executed within technology.
The Manager is responsible for overseeing the work of entry level and senior analysts who support business modules and must be effective in leading the teams to complete multiple and competing projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience training a team to utilize new technology and motivating the team to remain focused on continuous improvement is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a lead for all change management, particularly for integrations, upgrades and major implementations for P2P/Foundationally-impacted modules.
  • Oversee the intake process of change request tickets (from PHIRE or JIRA applications), including proper review and assessment as well as facilitate MCIT involvement for next steps.
  • Assist the Director with day-to-day change management reporting and review of metrics, as needed, for presentation to the business and for year-end review.
  • Define controls where opportunities exist to ensure financial is data is protected and accessible to the appropriate parties and application transactions are complete, accurate and valid.
  • Ensure risks are identified for processes and projects and that such risks can be adequately mitigated in PS Financials and within integrated applications with financial significance.
  • Ensure documentation is in place across all stages of the change management lifecycle and that final documentation includes all relevant information to support future initiatives and a cross-module comprehension and functionality.
  • Identify data elements, functionality and procedures to support business processes or identifying gaps and presenting recommendations for resolution using PS Financials and integrated applications.
  • Meet with stakeholders from various areas and members of management to identify data/policy needs, prioritize projects, and implement solutions.
  • Serve as key lead for integrations and projects to on-board new entities into PeopleSoft. Ensure new business units are completely and accurately configured in PS Financials support all appropriate transactions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction or operational efficiency improvements within the enterprise, whether leveraging delivered technology and functionality or reviewing enhancements that add value to the organization.
  • Mentor and train analysts to improve cross-functional efficiency and effectiveness in change management, business continuity and continuous improvement of processes and applications.
  • Manage projects and provide regular project statuses, identify and communicate scope, design, development issues and recommending potential solutions. Ensure senior team members independently manage projects (and when applicable, other staff) to ensure growth and opportunities.
  • Perform initial review and evaluation of Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for proposed customizations, implementations and integrations whether they originate from analysts or business partners and stakeholders, to ensure ideal design and execution.
  • Ensure the review of post production validation (eg. smoke testing) by analysts is performed adequately and timely for technology changes executed in production, where applicable.
  • Lead and support ad-hoc projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree with a major in a business subject (e.g. accounting, finance, and economics) or information systems/technology and minimum of 8 years of related work experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. A graduate degree in business or technology may be substituted for the bachelor's degree requirement and only five years of the related work experience. Previous experience in a supervisory position in Financial Analytics/Reporting, Auditing and Compliance or System Development Life Cycle (SLDC) management within a PeopleSoft ERP environment is preferred. Other minimum qualifications include Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel, Word and Visio. Experience with data tools and applications such as Python/Alteryx/Tableau is desired, but not required.
