Job Description:
TITLE: Lead Data Scientist REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Data Science or Statistics and
12 months of experience as Statistical Analyst, Data Scientist or
related. JOB DUTIES: Develop, implement and maintain process for
incorporating data insights into financial models. Interface with
data vendors to evaluate new data offerings and negotiate
contracts. Maintain record of historical forecasts and create a
scorecard to evaluate each data source’s correlation. Analyze and
interpret credit card, web traffic, and app download statistical
data to identify relationships that correlate to relevant economic
metrics. Present statistical results using charts and graphs in
daily meetings to brief colleagues and clients of relevant
findings. Stay abreast of developments within alternative data
analysis and update team on methodologies. Plan original data
collection methods for projects (monitoring relevant metrics) and
generate data for consumption by colleagues on a periodic (weekly)
basis. Process large amounts of data for statistical modeling using
tools like Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift and Tableau. Assign
responsibilities to junior data scientist and direct work
