The preferred location for this position is New York, but we will
accept candidates in Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Scottsdale,
and Los Angeles.
Essential Job Functions:
This position is responsible for supporting the Marine Claims Team.
The work activities will include:
* Provide technical and administrative support to internal staff
and regional claims managers
* Research policy and client information in Salesforce &
Starr360
* Oversee Marine Claims inbox
* Resolve claim errors based on monthly reports
* Claims Enterprise system and report management, including
researching and submitting tickets for Marine users
* Lead UAT testing for all Marine claims system enhancements and
updates
* Create, run, and manage multiple reports on unique timelines
* Perform semiannual user certifications for Claims Enterprise and
Starr360
* Oversee offsite storage protocols
Position Requirements
* The candidate must have experience in the insurance industry and
the ideal candidate will have experience in the Marine line of
business
* Three-to-five years of administrative support preferred
* A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but will also look at relevant
job experience
* Demonstrated success of the claims processes, compliance
requirements, and strong analytical capability will be
important
* Must have experience with a claims case management system and
understand the claims lifecycle
* Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task and
prioritize
* Must be self-motivated and a team player
* Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet
deadlines
* Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal
skills
* Must be service and risk-management oriented
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
* May be asked to perform other duties as required by
management
