Job Description:

Location: 100% remote or hybrid onsite in NYC

Employees in NYC have access to the company's amazing fitness facility! -

About the company:

Our client is most well known for training elite athletes - they trained 14 Olympic athletes to go to the Tokyo 2022 Olympics, bringing home 5 medals (3 of them gold), and they also trained 33% of the NFL's draft picks. But they don't just focus on elite fitness: they train both the body and the mind, and they also help ordinary, everyday people reach their goals, both in fitness and in life. -

They partner with F500 companies to offer their employees everything from fitness facilities, nutrition & fitness specialists, performance coaches, physical therapists, registered dieticians, to behavioral and cognitive therapists, many with PhDs and extensive, proven experience in their respective fields.

If you're excited by the idea of an expert, holistic approach to wellness and self-improvement, read on!

They're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join their team. You'll be working on a product that enables their coaches to build relationships and interact with members, both in-person and remote, and ultimately help them achieve their performance goals in work, life, and play. This is a great opportunity for a full-stack product designer with a knack for internal tools, who doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves in a fast-paced, startuppy environment. -

Their Lead Designer who would be your manager is someone we've known for many years, and we can attest that she's fantastic - she's relatable, down to earth, and a great mentor and support.

You'll be responsible for---

Partnering with product management, engineering, and other key parts of the business to drive product strategy and design and ship product experiences that deliver great outcomes to both our customers and our business

Acting as a senior member of the design team, collaborating with and mentoring other designers to make their work and the whole team better

Helping to build a great design culture at the company while fostering close collaboration with product management, engineering, and other parts of the business

Owning and demonstrating the design process from beginning to end, taking it from user research insights, through the exploration of problem and possibility spaces, and then translating ideas into delightful and usable experiences

Taking a holistic view of experience design across both the digital and "real world" aspects of the product, while staying anchored in digital product design

Owning the success or failure of your work, and initiating sessions with your team to iterate on features after they launch

Documenting and communicating process, research, and learnings to facilitate - knowledge sharing across the team

You have---

Ideally 4+ years of experience crafting and shipping digital products and systems for mobile and desktop apps

The ability to analyze and resolve complex UX flows with the right level of fidelity

Strategic system-level design thinking skills with a strong vision for your product

Solid knowledge and practice of visual design (compositional balance, typography, data visualization, etc) and interaction/UI patterns

The ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform your work and validate product assumptions

Some experience conducting user research and translating the findings into design decisions

Fluency in designing and prototyping in Figma

The ability to create a compelling narrative about customer needs and product strategy in order to create alignment around your work

The ability to manage design projects independently

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience or strong interest in service design and product experiences that bridge the digital and physical worlds

The ability to accept and resolve critique gracefully
