If you're an enthusiastic team player who thrives in an environment where communication, creativity, and cooperation are encouraged, this may just be the opportunity for you.About the Opportunity:The successful sales associate will provide a variety of support and to assist in various sales functions ensuring continuous customer satisfaction maximizing sales. The successful sales associate will personally contribute to the unforgettable guest experience, be favorably viewed by supervisors and peers, and be swift and efficient in the execution of their assigned duties. Performance will be measured by sales quotas, departmental tests, management evaluation, and feedback from peers on the city's team.About You:This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Documents customer interaction in ANCHOR, the Company's sales data baseBooks cruises and make changes to previously booked cruises using ANCHOR, the Company's reservation systemMaintains good organizational skills through time management, setting priorities, and accurate paperworkProcesses complimentary ticket requestsInputs prospects and Business Replay Card (BRC) data into ANCHORPrints contracts, letters, etc. and files department dataPrints weekly reportsCollects payments and keeps abreast of accounts receivablesDistributes in-bound group callsPerforms pre cruise calls to confirm final numbers and detailsSolicits input and works with Director of Sales and other appropriate sales team members to finalize product offer detailsHandles customer maintenance activities for sales team members. May include tasks such as:Changes to original contract, including counts, upsells, and other special needsEnsures complete and accurate product details are communicated to the F&B and Operations Departments to ensure proper execution of the product promised. Ensures communication is done in a timely, efficient manner.Meets and boards large groups when they arrive for their cruises. On occasion, may be required ride the cruise with the larger groups, especially full deck, and full ship charters, to help ensure outstanding product delivery.Provides prompt responses to customer inquiriesDevelops comprehensive knowledge of product offerings, product extras, pricing, and scripting for all standard productsFollows through on all sales related actions such as payments, contracts, etc.Up-sells to customer who already have cruises bookedPrepares sales proposals for sales team membersCoordinates all components of a cruise including tickets, bar packages, photo packages, and other special event ordersTelemarkets in the off-season to qualify prospectsAssists sales team members in moving tentativeResearch specific areas assigned to provide information to the sales team membersAdditional job duties as assigned.Requirements & Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of one (1) year of previous related work experience requiredAssociate's degree preferredCommunicate effectively in oral and written formMaintain high level of organizationBe detail orientedHandle multiple tasks/projects at one timeFocus on customer needsMeet deadlinesEstablish and maintain effective working relationships as required by job responsibilityListen effectively, assesses the situation, determine relevant issues, & suggest solutionsWork with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Excel)The RESPECT Service System embodies City Experiences' mission, vision, values and operating principles.
