Develop greenfield solar PV and hybrid solar PV/battery storage
projects from site control to notice to proceed.
Support site origination efforts with the land acquisition
Lead the permitting process including interconnection process, town
approvals and all environmental permitting.
Manage cross functional stakeholders (engineering, finance, legal,
environmental, etc) to successfully develop projects.
Manage town permitting and approval process.
Maintain an overview of the relevant business and competitive
environment, including regulatory and environmental
Provide feedback to the corporate development team on market
strategy and new development opportunities.
Participate in special projects as needed.
Must be willing to travel 30%+
Skills and Competencies
Experience developing solar and hybrid projects
Existing network of contacts, partners in the solar market
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills
Extensive knowledge of solar project development, utilities,
interconnection, permitting, and contracting
Understanding of permitting requirements in multiple U.S.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to establish, sustain and
foster professional contacts
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
including public speaking and/or platform skills for executive
Self-starter be very self-reliant and capable of operating with
Education and Experience
Undergraduate Degree in engineering, environmental science, town
planning, project management, construction management, or
At least 5 (five) years of direct solar energy development and
