Testing Officer - AVPPosition Type: Full time hybrid Location: New
York, NY 10020 SummarySanctions QA Testing Officer will report
directly to the client's sanctions department and will work to
strengthen the bank's OFAC/Sanctions program through effective
oversight, testing, and documentation of the bank's sanctions
operations.Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust sanctions Quality Assurance (QA)
program that covers sanctions operations, technology, and
compliance risks. Create testing strategies, perform testing, and
document testing results.
- Draft reports, and manage and track observations. Discuss
observations and action plans with relevant business areas.
- Provide and present final reports to senior management and
Compliance Committee, as applicable
- Ensure regulatory compliance for the US sanctions screening
solutions
- Utilize knowledge of Sanctions technology and conduct
implementation and optimization of screening systems (i.e.
Fircosoft)
- Manage end-to-end implementation of various projects to meet
with transactional and static data filtering needs
- Develop lessons learned training based on the test results and
implement such training
- Develop and report on key sanctions related
KRI/MISQualifications
- BA/BS/JD Degree;
- 3-5 years' experience working within sanctions
compliance/operations functions of a bank;
- Experience with audit, testing, or QA;
- Strong knowledge of banking and securities products and
services
- In-depth understanding and working knowledge of OFAC sanctions
regulations and compliance requirements and standards that impact
the sanctions risk for a global financial services firm including
transaction screening, KYC/client risk rating, securities
screening, and risk assessments.
- Strong organizational skills to identify, analyze, document and
report issues.
- Must possess strong:
- Written and verbal communication skills, including report
writing
- Understanding of corporate governance and the OFAC regulatory
environmentAbility to:
- Manage multiple projects and meet timely deadlines
- Draft reports outlining testing strategies, objectives, scope,
findings, and recommendations
- Work closely with multiple departments to complete projects and
tasks
