Position Summary:
This position is part of a growing Digital Content Strategy &
Business Intelligence team whose mission is to provide data-backed
direction on how the NBA can best exploit content in pursuit of its
business goals. In this specific role, your responsibility will be
to leverage data to develop and optimize a global content strategy
that ladders up to both regional and global objectives, including
monetization, DTC growth and engagement. Success in the role
requires the ability to project manage multiple initiatives
simultaneously across several stakeholders.
Major Responsibility:
Develop and provide a data-driven framework for an evolving global
content strategy that supports the NBA's regional and global
digital content objectives Research platform trends (i.e. new
social platform features, DTC consumption patterns), competitive
performance across brands and creators, and user behavior to inform
NBA's holistic content strategy approach. Perform data modeling and
analysis - working with financial data, content consumption data
and other inputs - as part of long-term strategy work Curate and
synthesize fan research to inform cross-platform content strategy
across web, app, DTC and social Research and analyze global content
performance by content type, platform, demographics, etc. to drive
critical decision-making Provide thought leadership and project
management across strategic initiatives (e.g. continued development
of the NBA's digital content creator network) Develop content
testing frameworks to better standardize and optimize localized and
original content development efforts globally Communicate insights
and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner
Required Skills/Knowledge:
* 5+ years working in an analytical, research, strategy or content
marketing role
* Demonstrated ability to project manage, conduct data analysis,
deliver actionable insights, and work directly with stakeholders to
implement and measure recommended actions
* Technology-savvy with an understanding of evolving media and
content landscape globally
* Knowledge of and experience with social media and digital
analytics, listening and measurement tools is a plus (i.e. - Adobe,
CrowdTangle, YouTube Analytics, etc.)
* Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau and
Power BI is a plus.
* Knowledge of basketball and a passion for the NBA and sports is
helpful and welcome
Education:Bachelor's degree
