Maesa is currently seeking a Quality Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the company's short and long-term goals for maintaining compliance with Maesa and client standards and specifications, as well as compile, analyze and report on quality inspection and performance data to direct and prioritize quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and promote quality and compliance improvement efforts for contract manufacturing inspection and release process while promoting a positive working environment by communicating clear direction on the quality strategy
  • This role will support the Quality Department by organizing agendas, generating meeting minutes, and maintaining order within the team shared folder
  • Generate and maintain accurate data, spreadsheets, and reporting records in shared QA group for internal team and/or software platforms
  • Assures that all contract manufacturers' documentation is present and updated

    Required Skills
    • Meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational skills
    • Ability to work 50% of the time in our New York Office
    • Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time for approximately 1-3 nights at a time
    • Four-year degree in sciences, process engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Work experience (either as part of an internship or employment) in a regulated field, such as food, drug, or related industry. Cosmetic and OTC drug experience preferred
    • Candidate must be knowledgeable of manufacturing methods, statistical concepts, and quality methods
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
    • Good presentation skills required
    • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving techniques
    • Lift up to 25 lbs
    • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at once and redirect focus based on the company's needs
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft office and Google drive
    • Experience in Quality Inspection is helpful but not mandatory
