Job Description:
Manager of DWS at SGAOS as part of the Global Technical Services
organization ("GTS"). GTS provides Infrastructure Support,
Engineering, Project Management and Administration for all SG staff
and applications worldwide. The GTS Markets organization is
dedicated to providing this support to the investment banking
organizations within the SG Group. This department has a presence
in seven main locations: Paris / Nantes / London / New York / Asia
/ Bangalore and the most recent one in Montreal. GTS covers and
manages all the technical operations of infrastructure where the
main domains are: Market Data, Servers, Middleware, Database,
Storage, Network, Desktop Engineering and Support.
Responsible for all IT End User Services functions for the
Americas, including User Support, Virtualization /Desktop Services,
Core and Packaging services, Desktop engineering, Messaging &
collaboration services, Unified communications services ( IP
Telephony, Trading Telephony (IPC Etrali) and Skype Telephony),
Architecture & Projects and User's change management for Americas :
USA, Canada and LATAM
Teams in charge of leading and delivering projects related to
Desktops and Messaging for Americas users (35000+ users), spread
between NY, Chicago, Canada and Brazil, Video and communication
services including Trading telephony systems, IP Telephony and
Audio video solutions.
Management of project's portfolio in link with technologies such as
Citrix, VMWare, Microsoft products, Trading Telephony technology,
Network.
End User Support - oversee and direct the day-to-day support of all
desktop systems ranging from front office trading to all support
functions within the Americas ("AMER") regions. This includes
performing all ordering and delivery of desktop equipment and
peripherals. In charge of the managerial responsibility of
improving the user facing IT systems by providing feedback to the
DWS engineering and project teams.
Desktop and Virtualization Services - This team provides the
strategy, engineering and delivery of desktop solutions for all
staff including VDI, Citrix and software delivery. oversee the
creation and maintenance of current and future desktop
infrastructure services with its associated documentation
(escalation procedures, best practices, support, and training on
products and services).
Core & Packaging Services - The team in Americas is to manage,
administer and handle change in Production for WW Active Directory,
Data Management, Account Management.
Mail and Collaborative Services - oversees the creation and
maintenance of current and future messaging and collaborative
infrastructure services with its associated documentation
(escalation procedures, best practices, support, and training on SG
MCS products and services). Lastly, trading telephony , IP
telephony and Teams telephony are part of this service
Architecture and Security - The team oversees the definition of the
technical architecture for the digital workplace solution (e.g.
secure file sharing). The team is also managing the deployment and
maintenance of our digital workplace cybersecurity solutions (e.g
Symantec)
Profile required
Competencies:

* MS Technologies knowledge
Qualifications (Experience, Education, Languages):
* English, French optional
* Master Degree
* At least 10 Years of experience in IT Management
Supervision Duties:
* Oversees the following teams: Desktop and Virtualization Services
and Mail and Collaborative Services
* Staff according to plan.
* Follow global infrastructure policies, services and
standards.
* Define and follow team objectives along with the AMER CTO.
* Manage budget and finance with the help of the COO.
* Manage priorities of the team, in coordination with AMER and
Paris GTS Management teams.
* Ensure a good work environment, with a good team spirit and
collaborations intra and inter teams.
* Be proactive and innovative along with the AMER CTO and Paris
Global CTO.
* Define and provide regular KPIs that provide transparency of the
activity to management
* Empower team members for efficiency purposes.
* Define and follow team objectives along with the AMER CTO.
* Ensure a good quality of service according to plan, KPIs and
SLAs.
* Enforce discipline around best practices, guidelines and
standards.
* Define training plans to keep a good skills level on the
teams.
* Escalate issues promptly to senior management.
* The DWS Manager has discretionary authority to make hiring and
firing decisions with respect to their staff, as well as to
recommend salary increases, bonuses, promotions, reassignments and
transfers. In addition, they will regularly evaluate their staff's
professional performance against pre-determined goals and
objectives.

Digital Workplace Service (DWS) defines, implements and executes
the guidance implemented in workstations, while delivering and
executing services to users (fixed or mobile workstations,
printers, fixed and mobile telephony, tablets, communication and
videoconferencing ). It also manages the technical infrastructure
associated with the user workstation such as technical directories
and file services.
