The successful individual will support the team in implementing a wide variety of member programs and activities.ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Executive Director of DIPPR, the Project and Membership Associate will enable DIPPR to achieve its objectives.Routinely connect with DIPPR members through voice, email/virtual, and in-person contact, ensuring members are aware of, and have access to, DIPPR resourcesSupport onboarding calls with new member organizations to introduce them to DIPPR and help them become an impactful contributor to the community.Follow-up with member requests and questionsMaintain and improve the DIPPR websiteProvide access to, and provide first response to questions relating to, the DIPPR website and DIPPR resourcesBecome familiar with DIPPR tools and softwareHelp develop, track, and update project progress using spreadsheets or other tools, as necessaryDemonstrate ability to solve problems, to manage systems and data, and to suggest appropriate solutionsProvide assistance with membership outreach and retention strategiesHelp coordinate DIPPR activities with AIChE sales, marketing, education, and management teams to develop member benefit and marketing materialsSupport DIPPR stakeholder and board meetingsHelp develop and disseminate monthly newsletters and frequent technical bulletinsAssist with the development of content and posting on DIPPR social media platformsFacilitate membership applications, contracts, and invoicing processesOther activities as determined by DIPPR Executive DirectorSkillsAbility to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writingA basic understanding of thermodynamic terms, a plusStrong listening skills, attention to detail, and decision-making skillsDedicated to meeting the requests of internal and external customers by providing timely updatesAdept at effectively working with and building and sustaining relationshipsCapability to work in a fast-paced environmentAble to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesOutstanding planning skills and strong attention to detailsSkilled in working successfully within a highly team-oriented environmentDemonstrated experience working with subject matter experts, volunteers, faculty, and managementAbility to show initiative and tackle challengesManage administrative tasks that support the strategic direction of the groupSoftware ProficienciesMS Office Products: minimum intermediate level (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams)Smart Sheet experience is a plusSocial media platformsProject Management toolsCompetenciesTime ManagementProject PlanningCommunicatorCollaboratorDetailed OrientedCustomer FocusLocation & TravelThis position can be either at our NYC Global Office when COVID in person restrictions are lifted or be located remotely.Travel is expected 2-4 times a year.Education & Work Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in a related disciplineMinimum of 2+ years' experience; non-profit experience a plusExperience working with subject matter experts, volunteers, faculty, and managementThe American Institute of Chemical Engineers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
