Location:Lantern Hill by Erickson Senior LivingLantern Hill is a luxurious 20-acre continuing care retirement community located in Union County, New Jersey in the borough of New Providence. We're part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states-and growing. We are hiring a Community Resources Coordinator to bring their passion for resident engagement to our campus. This position will act as a resource for residents in the creation of activities and organizations within the community. Compensation: starting at $20.00 per hour. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Builds strong positive relationship with residents and staff.
  • Partners with residents to develop activities within the community as well as outside of the community while encouraging self-sufficiency among residents.
  • Collaborates with other pertinent departments to coordinate room usage for activities/events.
  • Creates and distributes monthly calendars (i.e. activities/events listings) to residents and relevant staff as needed.
  • Facilitates and maintains communication regarding activities/events among residents as well as various staff.
  • Monitors bulletin boards, display cases, and Community Resources spaces.
  • Attends monthly department meetings and other meetings as appropriate.
  • Creates flyers for events, writes articles for community bulletins/newspapers, and provides clerical support, as necessary.
  • Makes resident referrals to appropriate departments, as necessary.
  • Assists with the creation, maintenance, and distribution of electronic and paper-based calendars as well as the activities and events listings and the "Community Resources Handbook."
  • Arranges audio/visual equipment with vendor(s) appropriate to speaker and presentation needs.
  • Serves as information center for resident inquiries.
  • Direct, produce, edit, and videotape community activities, meetings, and special projects as needed.
  • Oversee Community TV production scheduling.
  • Makes resident referrals to appropriate departments, as necessary. What we offer:

      • High school diploma (GED) is required. Bachelor's or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
      • Minimum of 3 years service-related experience (volunteer or public service).
      • Experience with senior population preferred.
