Job Description/Responsibilities:
Blackstone Credit's (BXC) Quantitative Solutions team is a
project-based team which works directly with BXC's various
investment teams to improve all aspects of the investment process.
The successful candidate will conduct in-depth quantitative
analysis of current and prospective investment utilizing a wide
variety of datasets, both proprietary and third party. The
successful candidate will oversee developing and supporting
portfolio analytics tools and portfolio management tools. The
successful candidate will work closely with investment groups to
provide quantitative solutions for business objectives, and provide
key, differentiated insights and approaches to problems. The
candidate will have an opportunity to partner with members of
Blackstone's Data Science Team, which is Blackstone's firm-wide
team focused on data science, big data, and advanced analytics. The
ideal candidate will have prior experience in a quantitative or
risk analytics role, working within or alongside a portfolio
management team. This position requires working closely with senior
leadership to help enhance the effectiveness of the overall
investment management process.
Qualifications:
Blackstone Credit seeks to hire individuals who are highly
motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior
endeavors. In addition to strong qualitative and quantitative
skills, the successful candidate should have:
Degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, financial
engineering, mathematics, statistics, data science, or
economics
At least 3 years of relevant experience in portfolio management,
mathematical modelling/ or risk analytics, preferably for a credit
manager
Prior experience in Python, SQL, Tableau. Beacon experience a plus.
User interface experience a plus.
Experience with alternative datasets
Extensive experience with analytical methodologies and desire to
solve novel technical challenges
Excellence in balancing multiple projects and efficiently meet
goals in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently as well as on a team

Expected annual base salary range:
$120,000 - $160,000 Actual base salary within that range will be
determined by several components including but not limited to the
individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted
salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation
process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms
of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the
advertised role.
