Description:CSPNJ is opening a Warming Center in Kearny, NJ from November 2022 through March 2023. The Warming Center provides services to individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity and provides a warm place to stay overnight during extreme winter weather. We are looking to fill various Warming Center Mentor vacancies to work collaboratively as a team to ensure the guests are welcomed and are following center rules to ensure a safe environment for all. Ideally we are looking for compassionate individual that are willing and able to work with individuals that are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity and have a history of mental health and or substance use challenges. This is a TEMPORARY position from November 2022 through March 2023.There are (14) openings and the following available schedules.Part-time hours ranging from 20 up to 29 hours per week.Schedule 1: 6pm - 12amSchedule 2: 12am - 6am (overnight)Schedule 3: 6am - 10amRequirements:Basic computer skills and the ability to track and enter hours in timesheet system is required. Must be reliable and to meet the schedule requirements.Ability and willingness to interact with clients in a caring and professional manner.Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus. Person with the lived experience of using mental health services or experience with homelessness is a plus.Required to have COVID-19 vaccination by start date.PM22PI201557393
