Job Description:

Security Officers in the performance of their duties. Functions as
Supervisor in charge in the absence of the Lieutenant or Sergeant
on assigned tour. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Instructs newly assigned personnel in accordance with current
departmental and hospital Center operating procedures
- Appraises the Security Officer's daily work habits and follows
up on deficiencies
- Reviews for sufficiency and accuracy of content, all
investigation reports submitted or logs maintained by
subordinates.
- Responsible when necessary to change duty assignments to reduce
or minimize premium overtime.
- Interviews and conducts preliminary investigations of incidents
of Lost/Stolen property and submits reports.
- Acts as the liaison with the Police Department, concerning the
Hospital Center and a criminal action.
- Responds and assumes command of all Mr. Blue calls, when the
Sergeant is not present.
- Creates a Command Center in case of an internal/external
disaster.
- Maintains liaison with the Assistant Director of Nursing on
duty and the Administrator on call after normal working hours, when
applicable.
- Possesses access to and control of special area Master keys on
his/her tour.
- Performs clerical duties in the Security office Education: High
School Diploma or GED Experience: Prior Security or Military
background or 3 years hospital security experience. Supervisory

comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job
Advertisements.
The salary range for the role is $59,267.00 - $88,900.00
Annually.
Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including
experience, education, and hospital need.
The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include
bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation
or benefits.
