About the Role
This is a role for a mid/senior-level communications professional
with a strong background in running social and digital workstreams
and capable of handling a broad range of projects with a high
degree of independence and sound judgment.
Our Social Strategists are the trusted partner and point of contact
for mid-level clients partnering with account leadership to deliver
operational discipline and delivery excellence, speed to market,
resource optimization, and profitability management to their
business(es). They are highly organized and accountable account
leaders, who are able to build relationships and collaborate with
others to draw on the expertise of all Ogilvy's capabilities. This
role specifically requires a sound understanding of the social
landscape, and the ability to lead and project manage multiple
workstreams in relation to social strategies, content development,
distribution, and influencer in partnership with your strategy
team.
What you'll do?
Manage day-to-day account activities with mid-level clients,
creative teams and other agency partners
Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with client
counterparts at multiple levels; has a professional presence and
partners with clients to implement solutions and measure
results.
Provide strategic counsel and develop social media and influencer
plans
Drive program delivery with key focus areas: on-time, on-budget,
in-scope, with high quality and stability
Develop and execute social media and influencer marketing
relations, including identifying and developing outreach
opportunities, drafting social media materials, etc.
Develop and maintain high levels of team effectiveness including
trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, diversity and
engagement
Managing client objectives, expectations and timelines and ability
to thoughtfully and effectively communicate changes/directions to
internal creative and social strategy team members
Influencing the efficiency and quality of work and advocating for
the agency/client relationship
Mobilizing and driving the integrated team towards forward
progress, action and results by working integrally with internal
social strategy team members to -facilitate the process -of
developing effective strategies and briefs that lead to great
work
Having foundational understanding of the social and digital
landscape in order to be a bridge between clients, account teams
and social strategists
Serving as a mentor/coach and/or direct manager to junior team
members and supporting the development of these team members
Understanding & respecting every department's role in delivering
great work and building relationships
What You'll Need
4+ years' experience in an advertising or public relations agency,
with a leaning towards social media. Ideally, several different
account experiences delivering programs in public relations,
marketing, or communications with background in digital and social
media, material development, media relations, and partnership
outreach
Experience in creating strategy, developing Health and Wellness PR
programs and providing strategic thinking to clients
Digital fluency with an understanding of the complex, fragmented
social media landscape and how to build solutions to drive results.
Experience using social media in communications campaigns
Proven skills in research, analysis and trend identification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including
presentation skills
Working knowledge of best practices in social platforms such as:
Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok,
and the latest up and coming platforms
Skilled in handling direct client contact with ability to counsel
clients
Detail-oriented with proven ability to be proactive in a
fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated track record successfully managing complex projects
with cross-functional teams
Able to develop first drafts of documents and presentations with
minimal edits
Demonstrated initiative in identifying and proposing enhanced ways
to advance team, group, agency and client interests
Ability to operate with a high degree of independence, but knows
when to rely on own judgment and when to seek advice of supervisor
and other team members
Sound judgment in anticipating and taking action to avoid many
workplace and client issues and problem

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting
is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on
job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of
responsibility, experience, and qualifications. We offer a

Pay Range$45,000-$90,000 USD Ogilvy is an equal opportunity
