Job Duties
Data Intelligence Lead will cover a universe of companies in a specific sector by performing sector and company level research. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Alternative Data. He/She should be fluent with KPI correlations, Data Quality monitoring, reference data enrichments and back testing. Should be passionate about data and research with an eye for detail. The candidate will be responsible for all data and its quality, which would be available on the proprietary data platform around the sector. Should have experience of working on Azure, Databricks, SQL etc. He/She would also be involved in recruitment and team handling across geographies.

Responsibilities
Perform sector and company level research leveraging proprietary alternate data and other company reported data to identify trends, anomalies and patterns.
Custodian of the proprietary alternate data available for the sector. Ensure highest level of quality on the data and insights generated for the sector.
Leverage Analytics frameworks built by the Data Science team to monitor companies and sectors on an ongoing basis for variances in alternative data. Perform time-series and correlation analysis between the company reported KPIs and alternative data factors generated.
Create Research Notes on Anomalies, Data gaps and other trends observed at a company level and at a sector level.
Partner with the Sales, Product and Data Science teams to provide best in class research to clients.
Deliver high quality Research and Analytics for Investment Hypothesis from clients in a timely manner.
Actively track the universe companies through monitoring earnings reports, press releases, news etc. on companies and any developments in the sector.

Skills Required
Must Have:
5+ years of financial industry experience with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Alternative Data.
Passionate about data and research with an eye for detail.
Experience working with alternative data and fluent with KPI correlations, Data Quality monitoring, reference data enrichments and back testing.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to connect with internal and external stakeholders.
Experienced working on Azure, Databricks etc.
Team handling experience.

Preferred
Experienced working on SQL, Python etc.
Experience doing sector specific research, qualitative and or quantitative.
Experience writing research notes or qualitative research.
Team handling experience with experience in recruiting, guiding, mentoring, and collaborating with team members across geographies.

Education: MBA/Post Graduation in (Finance) and/or CFA.
