Job Purpose:
The Executive Director, Accounts Integration, Strategy and Operations is remote field-based role that covers the United States. Travel is required, and potentially on short notice

The Head, Account Integration, Strategy and Operations, will have overall accountability for NVS prioritized assets across IM portfolio operational excellence with prioritized cross customers inclusive of US regional Payors and priority Systems, and will lead strategic, high-impact B2B initiatives within Payors and systems in alignment with Brand and Market Access priorities. The Head will lead a cross-portfolio team, and the scope of responsibility will include the portfolio of IMUS, and specifically Cardiovascular, Neuroscience and Oncology products. They will also provide strategic counsel to the Head of Market Access and the VP, Regional & Government Markets, and will provide direction on the transformation of our Payors and systems engagement towards a best-in-industry B2B account management organization that is accountable for long term business success.

Your Key Responsibilities:
* Drive success through targeted strategies and operational excellence: Enable success and measurable business impact of market access regional markets Account Management (payors and systems) by driving operational excellence throughout the RM organization in support of the VP and EDs, incl. support on aligning field teams against key priorities, defining and executing new processes to increase efficiency, and moving teams to new behaviors
* Serve as knowledge center of excellence: Develop and own the Novartis knowledge base on regional payers, systems of care, value-based care delivery model, and key M&A activity across these industries
* Challenge and build: Derive strategic insights from metrics and translate them into actionable steps to improve business outcomes
* Identify and execute unique opportunities for customer engagement: Identify opportunities for high impact special initiatives with accounts and own delivery of special projects driving significant business impact for Novartis in support of field leadership
* Elevate B2B Account Management capabilities by providing field leaders with tools and coaching to articulate coherent account strategies built on forensic account insights and driven by clear business objectives and execution plans

Minimum requirements



What You'll Bring to the Role:
Education: Bachelor's Degree is required; MBA is preferred

Experience:
* 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or healthcare consulting industry inclusive of at least 2 different types of cross-functional roles/experience
* 3+ years in project management and translation of strategy into execution
* Strategic and analytical thinking, as demonstrated by key projects/initiatives
* Strong influencing skills, and the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in stressful situations across all levels of seniority

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $222,400 and $333,600/ year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
