  DAY-TO-DAYAs a Social Services Engagement Specialist, you're the go-to person for making sure Clubhouse tasks and projects get done while also bringing out the best in our members! You work with members, coworkers, and our program director to come up with short- and long-term plans that keep everything running smoothly. Additionally, you get to attend meetings, speak to groups, and visit other clubhouses to learn new things and spread the word about Chelton Loft!You help members find jobs, train them on the job, and make sure they're getting the support they need. And you're not just limited to employment services! You also help out with special nonprofit events and make sure everyone is communicating effectively. We're so grateful for your can-do attitude, your caring nature, and your commitment to making sure everyone is included in Clubhouse activities.   REQUIREMENTS FOR A SOCIAL SERVICES ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST
  • 3+ years of experience working in human services
  • Flexibility and a belief in rehabilitation and recovery
  • Excellent analytical skills, computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel or another database software
  • Excellent emotional intelligence (EI) skills adequate to confront difficult emotional situations
  • Adaptability to change and the ability to work under potentially stressful situations
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and commitment to the mission, vision, and goals of The Fedcap Group
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and ethical practice
  • Ability to analyze, make decisions, and resolve situations effectively within the scope of responsibilities
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policiesPreferred:
    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, rehabilitation, counseling, or a related field
    • Prior experience in a Psychosocial Clubhouse or other mental health community support program
    • Prior experience engaging women and men impacted by the criminal legal system
