Senior Ethics & Compliance Advisor - Investigations and Anti-Corruption Due Diligence Work Location: Greenfield, IN (Hybrid) Position Summary: The Senior Ethics & Compliance Advisor will be responsible for supporting the Ethics & Compliance function in the areas of investigations and anti-corruption due diligence (ACDD). Primary responsibilities include managing/conducting investigations, handling anti-corruption/bribery matters, and enhancing and improving investigations and ACDD policies, procedures, systems, and operations. These duties directly support our global commitment to doing the right thing in the right way along with following the laws, regulations, industry codes, and policies and procedures that govern our business, all of which are foundations of our culture. - Responsibilities:

  • Manage the investigations system, utilizing legal resources, subject matter experts, and others to promptly, effectively, and confidentially direct investigations for Ethics & Compliance. -
  • Assess and continually improve an effective investigations program that promotes compliance based on principle-based policies and procedures and prevents and detects wrongdoing.
  • Support leadership in fostering an engaged global culture of Ethics and Compliance, compliant with all laws, and clearly understood by all employees.
  • Provide oversight of ACDD to assess and manage third-party partners, with an eye to continuous improvement in the service levels provided to business owners.
  • Develop strong relationships and act as a business partner with the company's business units and affiliates.
  • Address issues as they arise in the investigations and ACDD processes, taking ownership to ensure that Elanco's processes are "best in class."
  • Report on investigation findings and outcomes, as needed, to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are world-class, principle-based, and readily accessible with clarity and understanding to all employees to aid in employee awareness and reducing risks
  • Ensure a monitoring program is established and implemented to monitor (via ServiceNow or an improved system) incoming issues and cases, with appropriate details and accesses properly aligned.
  • Conduct clear and respectful investigations, fact-based analyses and assessment, and coordinated/informed root cause analyses with recommendations for remediation.
  • Serve as the global interface to external stakeholders, providing consulting, advise, education and clear and concise direction regarding investigations and ACDD. Basic Qualifications:
    • Undergraduate degree, Bachelor's minimum
    • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role or a related field with experience in investigations, ACDD and/or in related areas. -
    • Demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices for policies and procedures, training, and communications on investigations and ACDD.
    • Ability to establish strong relationships with stakeholders in multiple geographies and positions based on trust, responsiveness, reliability, and confidence to foster an environment of inclusion and partnership with Ethics and Compliance.
    • Ability to lead through persuasion, including individuals who do not report to Ethics & Compliance, and effectively lead ad hoc teams from different departments and geographies.
    • High level of professional maturity and sensitivity to confidentiality and an ability to influence and diplomatically challenge when needed.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects in fast-paced environment and quickly triage and problem-solve even when resources may be restricted or timing is constrained
    • Excellent interpersonal, strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco Animal Health does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this position. Additional Skills & Preferences:
      • Experience in multiple jurisdictions handling compliance and/or investigations; prior regional or global experience a plus.
      • Experience in ServiceNow or similar data systems
      • Experience with anti-bribery third party systems
      • Experience with Anti-corruption and Anti-bribery acts
