We are looking for a creative Recreational Therapist/Recreation Assistant/Activities Assistant to assist in presenting and coordinating recreational programs for our Assisted Living Facility. As well as assisting the Recreation Director in planning, organization, and implementation of the activities program and volunteer program.
Experience:

One-year prior experience working with the geriatric population or patients with Alzheimer's or Dementia a plus
Recreation (art therapy, music therapy) or event leadership experience preferably in an Assisted Living, Long Term Care or similar industry setting

Qualifications:

Outgoing, warm and caring personality
Ability to create a program to get Residents involved and excited to attend these events
Dependable and able to supervise activities, special events and excursions for the Residents
Creative talents in one or more areas such as art, music, readings, dance, etc
Strong communication and listening skills
Proven ability to lead classes/instructional learning sessions and speak in front of a group setting with ease and clarity
Must possess organizational and leadership ability.
The ability to work cooperatively with other department staff members and be understanding and patient with the residents.
Must have a valid driver's license and proof of an excellent driving record.
Ability to physically assist residents in need.
May require lifting and bending.
