Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to join its collaborative technology team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in providing design, support and administration of the organization's cloud computing architecture for both Langan and its clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to experience the full project lifecycle from concept through implementation utilizing a breadth of current and emerging cloud technologies.
Job Responsibilities



  • Work with network team and clients to design full-stack solutions using software that fully integrates with existing cloud infrastructure from data flow, security, DevOps, and other standpoints;


  • Propose suggestions and best practices to optimize cloud presence, performance, security, and cost;


  • Evaluate technical risks and map out mitigation strategies;


  • Develop and organize cloud systems and work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy;


  • Carry out debugging, troubleshooting, modifications, and unit testing of custom solutions built on the organization/clients' platform;


  • Provide general backend administrative support for various on premise and cloud-based server and enterprise applications;


  • Manage change control procedures to document and ensure proper authorization and notifications are sent and obtained prior to work being performed;


  • Create a well-informed cloud strategy and administer the adoption process;


  • Leverage cloud environment and service-oriented architecture principles to define and own Solution Architecture (applications and data technologies);


  • Develop new specs and documentation, and partake in the development of technical procedures and user support guides;


  • Evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software at regular intervals;


  • Research, test and implement cloud architecture solutions to effectively meet the strategic needs of the company and its clients; and


  • Perform other duties as requested.


    Qualifications


    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, IT or related STEM subject;


    • 3+ years of work experience designing, executing, and supporting IT Cloud solutions;


    • Completed or prepared to sit for either Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (AZ-305) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification required;


    • Exceptional understanding of cloud computing technologies and recent computing trends and familiarity with enterprise architecture and enterprise application integration;


    • Extensive experience with the following operating systems: Linux, Unix, Solaris, Ubuntu, Windows;


    • Deep understanding of networking: TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, DNS;


    • Expert knowledge of key security concepts and expert knowledge of data integration/EAI technologies, such as Tibco;


    • Experience with Python, Power Shell or similar scripting tools as well as relational databases and Active Directory;


    • Hands-on experience with SaaS and business intelligence/analytics implementation a plus;


    • Strong critical thinking, deductive reasoning, analytical skills, problem solving capabilities, and adeptness to addressing issues and complications preventively;


    • Strong attention to detail, prioritization and problem tracking skills;


    • Ability to work autonomously, or within the larger IT team depending on assignment/requirements;


    • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment and consistently demonstrate initiative, professionalism, poise and flexibility;


    • Available at various hours for business-related tasks during regular business working hours and periodically during off-hours (evenings and weekends);


    • Professional written and verbal communication skills; and


    • Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing.
