Job Description - The Advancement Department consists of several teams that are critical to fulfilling the Success Academy mission. Senior Specialist, Donor Engagement the effort in: securing and retaining critical philanthropic support through creative and compelling events and a variety of written communications designed to engage donors. This team is responsible for building and retaining our community of supporters, leading all fundraising activities, and creating segmented, personalized donor communications. The team works very closely with the Principal and Major Gifts colleagues and the Operations and Data Analytics colleagues. We are searching for a candidate with a proven track record of writing and communicating with donors through: proposal writing and reporting to foundation and corporate donors; online fundraising, newsletters, thank you notes and written materials that will engage and sustain donors. This role is significant to the team's success and provides an extraordinary opportunity for the right person to join us in setting a course for excellence and advancing professionally. The Senior Specialist, Donor Engagement will work with members of the Advancement team to develop and implement cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies to meet the annual fundraising goal, and foster sustained philanthropic support from new and longstanding donors. This individual will report to the Head of Donor Engagement and foster productive working relationships with advancement leadership and staff, as well as staff throughout the SA enterprise. Responsibilities: Write, edit and submit applications, proposals and reports to foundations, corporations and individual donors - Prepare donor-centric documents including thank you correspondence, monthly newsletter, and online solicitations Contribute to team goal of diversifying institutional and individual donors Support with cultivation and stewardship engagement and events that are of particular interest to specific donor segments. Research and communicate with prospective grant funders, including Letters of Intent, leading to full submissions for new funding - Qualifications: Minimum 3-6 years of experience as a fundraising professional -Experience - writing fundraising communications (required) Excellent oral and written communication skills Exceptional project management and execution skills Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment, independently and on a team - Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge (preferred) Bachelor's degree (required) - Learn more about our philosophy, benefits, and team at - https://jobs.successacademies.org/working-here/ . - Already an employee of Success Academies?
