Internal Wholesaler Investment and Planning Specialist (IWIPS)
works in partnership with the Wealth Distribution sales managers to
develop and create new business, drive increased investment
management sales, new asset inflows, net asset growth and revenue
goals; with Broker General Agents (BGAs) to drive annuity &
insurance sales and improve overall competence with TD Wealth
Planning. The IWIPS achieves this through ongoing advisor and sales
manager development, training, one on one coaching, role play
sessions, weekly calls, webinars, market workshops, and national
sales conferences.Requirements
- Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards
applicable to the position.Grows new asset inflows, NAG and revenue
through increased investment management sales and planning and book
management.Profiles advisors for new and existing investment,
annuity, planning sales opportunities.Focus on ongoing advisor
development through advisor training, workshops/role plays, one to
one coaching sessions and participation in weekly / monthly calls
and meetings.Serves as primary internal sales resource for the
advisors in assigned territory; the product and planning subject
matter expert.Conducts proactive outbound calls to advisors as well
as field inbound calls / questions. Maintain proactive sales
relationship with advisors in respective territory, constant
relationship building.Partners with Investment Strategy team to
help communicate our investment process and philosophy and provide
advice around financial planning, investment management and annuity
/ insurance solutions.Actively drives and participates in sales and
marketing initiatives.Participates in the development of content
for advisor training and sales calls; a lead for the weekly advisor
sales calls and assist with providing investment and planning
content and coordinating with BGAs for annuity content.Utilizes and
understands both internal and third-party resources to support team
learning, improve sales results and support partnership with Retail
and Commercial.Supports Financial Service Market Managers in
providing content on the Wealth offering to support partnership
meetings (e.g. Retail and Commercial).Coordinates with product
development teams to support investment management, annuity /
insurance, and planning sales development and product
enhancements.Works with Wealth Learning and Development and
Practice Management to reinforce advisor training content and the
TD sales process.Works with internal shared services team to
elevate process and servicing issues raised by the field to create
efficiencies and a better advisor and client
experience.Participates in market meetings (with Wealth
Distribution teams and Retail teams) and business
reviewsQualifications7+ years of investment sales and/or financial
planning experienceSales coaching experience requiredBachelor's
degree preferredS7, S65, Life & Health requiredProven sales
leadership experience and ability to effectively partner with
othersStrong understanding of the financial markets, investment
process, planning, and investment and insurance product
knowledgeStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications
skills are required; ability to communicate complex investment
ideasStrong presentation, training/coaching and closing
skillsTerritory management, organizational and project management
