Compliance /Occupancy Specialist (Residential Properties) - - - NYC - - - - $31 to $36.an hour



Our client a property management company is looking for a Compliance Specialist/Manager (residential properties), also known as an Occupancy Specialist in the real estate world. -This role is a temp to perm opportunity, that also could be strictly permanent for the ideal candidate. -



The Compliance Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of affordable residential units. The Compliance Manager works closely with the Director of Operations to ensure overall day-to-day Compliance operations of properties, which includes the supervision of the compliance specialist team functions and ensuring each property's compliance with all and any applicable program regulations.



Daily Responsibilities:


  • Supervise all administrative & compliance functions of Project Based Section 8 properties with or without a LIHTC overlay
  • Supervise site-specific program administration, and ensure compliance with each applicable agency (HDC, HCR, HUD, etc.)
  • Follow up and assist compliance staff with recertification's along with training procedures.
  • Supervise Compliance Staff and functions.
  • Rent up vacant units/Qualify tenants and potential tenants.
  • Prepare for MOR/REAC/Property Inspections and respond to close-out findings.
  • Supervise all marketing/Leasing efforts.
  • Assist with Tenant/Landlord relations.
  • Vouchering for all sites.
  • Provide all necessary reports.
  • Processing all OCAFs.
  • Understanding Operating Statements and Financial Budgets.
  • Financial analysis and reporting
  • Assist with hiring, training, and evaluating compliance/office.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Recertification Master Checklist
