Portfolio Company Data Operations Associate page is loaded Portfolio Company Data Operations Associate Apply locations New York, NY time type Full time posted on Posted 3 Days Ago job requisition id R0007943 Summary:To drive the transformation of Portfolio Company information we are hiring a junior/mid level analyst responsible for the acquisition and monitoring of Portfolio Company data from our external GP's. This resource will be principally responsible for managing the acquisition and distribution of GP level information so that it can be consumed by downstream applications. The role will focus on integration and automation partnering with external GP's to ensure this information is acquire in a timely manner.The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of portfolio company data with background in data management and reconciliations. It will be critical to the success of the role that this person be able to partner with external and internal stakeholders at senior levels and maintain a collaborative relationship with offshore resources and NB Technology teams. Responsibilities:

  • Operationalize the data acquisition process and ingestion process of portfolio company data lifecycle to support client reporting needs
  • Oversight of the data acquisition and ingestion process of portfolio company data lifecycle and portfolio company data operations team, including:
    • Data acquisition process (e.g. General Partner / Sponsor outreach, data from standard reporting obtained from third party vendors)
    • Data ingestion and input process
    • Data validation and reconciliation
    • Provide operational supports to client reporting portal involving investment and portfolio company data
    • Assist in oversight of portfolio company data vendor relationships, including BAU onboarding of any existing or new vendor functionality to support the process
    • Partner with business groups (i.e. investment, finance, client coverage, data strategy) to improve data quality and processes.
    • Develop and own the data quality controls to ensure portfolio Company data completeness and accuracy.
    • Assist in the documentation of business requirements, as well as other supporting artifacts such as workflows and reporting mockups. Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate degree with excellent academic credentials in technology, business analytic, economics, business, finance, accounting or similar
      • 3 - 6 years of relevant professional experience (i.e., hands-on experience in managing data and analytics projects within Financial Services / Asset Management)
      • Familiarity with various alternative strategies (e.g. Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, Distressed Debt)
      • Working knowledge of PE finance, Reporting and Operations
      • Experience with data visualization tools e.g. Tableau (preferred)
      • Superior Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio and Excel skills and experience
      • Experience with portfolio monitoring tools, such as iLevel, Chronograph or similar software is a plus
      • Strong analytical, project management and technical skills; experience with SQL language for building queries and data manipulations a plus
      • Strong sense of professional pride and individual accountability
      • Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking
      • Resourcefulness and proactiveness, ability to multi-task, team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects and manage them effectively
      • Excellent communication; ability to articulate and present ideas effectively both orally and written form
      • Interest in working in an entrepreneurial environment with the ability to take initiative and have creativity in approach to problem solving
      • Strong at developing and managing relationships across all levels of the organizationCompensation DetailsThe salary range for this role is $110,000-$135,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
