The salary range for the position is $55k-$60k AnnuallyJob Summary:QSAC is looking for a dedicated and organized Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team! You will be responsible for conducting internal audits of OWPDD-funded programs, investigations, fire drills and providing training to staff as needed. If you have a strong understanding of OPWDD regulations, have training from the Justice Center as an investigator, are a SCIP-R and/or American Red Cross CPR instructor and enjoy supporting people with autism, then this could be a meaningful role for you.ResponsibilitiesProgram SupportsConduct internal audits of OPWDD-funded programsEnsure documentation of services provided are accurate and within OPWDD and Medicaid regulationsWork with program staff to address any audit findings and improve documentation and proceduresProvide plans for improvement to supervisors and programs in a timely mannerInvestigationsConduct investigations into incidents under OPWDD 624 regulations and employee accidents/injuresInterview staff in accordance with Justice Center and OPWDD guidelines for investigationsComplete OPWDD 149 Investigative Reports in a timely mannerGeneralEnsure health, safety & welfare of individuals through understanding of rights and regulationsMay be required to report to alternate work locations (e.g. Day Programs, Residential Programs, etc.)Maintain individual/ family confidentialityAttend all trainings and in services providedCommitment to company values and adherence to policiesQualifications & Work ExperienceHigh School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required2 years work experience in OPWDD-funded Quality Assurance capacity preferredJustice Center Investigative Training preferredStrong writing skills requiredCPR/First Aid and SCIP-R trainer certifications preferredStrong computer literacy skills requiredAbility to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb itemsMust be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals servedValid drivers license in good standing requiredFlexibility and collaboration is essentialMission:QSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services.
