ILIS is a wood-fired kitchen highlighting the seasonal plants, seafood, and game of North America led by Mads Refslund. We are looking for candidates with a genuine appreciation for the hospitality business, a professional work ethic. Weekend Availability is a mustILIS believes in a 'ONE house' mentality and we expect all departments to support and motivate each other to achieve our goal of guest satisfaction. As a Host/Float, you will interact with all of these departments regularly and should be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with your co workers & managers.Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

• Answering phones and emails in a polite and hospitable manner, taking reservations and guest requests, and answering guests' questions
• Welcome all guests warmly and with a positive attitude
• Offering assistance to our guests with coats, bags, etc.
• Handling the reservation system to make guest's check-in and seating as smooth as possible
• Maintaining updated table information in the reservation system
• Conveying all appropriate guest information to managers, staff and chefs (e.g. VIP's, special occasions, special requests, etc.)
• Quoting accurate wait times (if appropriate) for walk-in guests
• Accommodating guest requests whenever possible
• Offering a warm farewell to every guest as they leave the restaurant
• Immediately notifying management of any guest complaints, including any interactions with a guest that leads the host to believe that the guest is not 100% happy with their visit
• Maintaining a clean, orderly host stand and entrance area
• Clear and reset tables in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure quality of all items being set on the table
• Maintain stocks of all supplies and necessary items for service, reporting to management when items are lowPosition Skills & Demands:
  • Experience with Resy preferred
  • Able to lift up to 20lbs
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Able to work as part of a team
