Job Title: CAT Scan Technologist

We are seeking a skilled CAT Scan Technologist to join our team in Staten Island. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed radiographic and CT procedures, utilizing computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Perform radiographic and CT procedures, accurately interpreting physicians' scanning instructions and administering contrast materials as needed.
  
• Operate CT scan equipment, positioning patients to capture high-quality images and ensuring accurate patient information is accessed and processed in accordance with HIPPA regulations.
  
• Follow accepted radiologic procedures, consulting policy and procedure manuals as necessary to ensure actions conform to established protocols.
  
• Independently implement patient procedures, explaining the process to patients and solving problems that arise during examinations.
  
• Maintain equipment, performing visual and manual quality control checks and reporting any malfunctions or missing/damaged equipment.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
    
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
    
  • ARRT Advanced Certification in CT (required within one year of hire or transfer).
    
  • New York State Department of Health IV Contrast Injection Certification (required within one year of hire or transfer).
    
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
    
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
