CompanyHSBLocationHartford, United StatesJob DescriptionWork under the guidance of more senior data science staff on modeling projects, ensuring the appropriate methodologies are applied. Independently handle small-scale or ad hoc data science projects. Collaborate closely with data engineering and infrastructure teams to deploy models and data products at scale.Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
• Master's degree in a quantitative field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in predictive analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis in the insurance industry, or 4+ years in other industries.
• Experience with Git or similar version control tools.
• Experience with generative AI models (e.g., large language models, GANs) is a plus.
• Proficiency in NLP techniques and tools, experience with prompt engineering or deploying AI chatbots is a plus.
• Experience with big data technology on Linux systems is a plus.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch) is a plus.
• Experience with Bayesian frameworks like Stan or PyMC3 is a plus.Knowledge and Skills
  • Hands-on experience in Python, R, SQL, Scala.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning, with the ability to evaluate different algorithms.
