General Statement of JobThe Help Desk Support Tier I Clerk will perform analysis of potential issues/problems and assist withcorrective action to restore functionality; providing technical support for any recurring problems andissues with applications on a day-to- day basis.

Essential Job Functions

  • Set up client’s computers including installation of software, patches, and drivers
  • Generate reports from the ticketing system or other management systems
  • Analyze and diagnose hardware, software, and operator problems
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues of end point devices like desktop computers,laptops, phones, printers, and network hardware
    • Perform other related duties and special project functions as assignedMinimum Qualifications and Requirements
      • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology (or recent graduate)
      • Functional knowledge of Windows, Apple, iPhone and Android environments and commonapplications
        • Experience with IT Service Desk/ Help Desk ticketing systems
        • Must posses the ability to effectively communicate with and render excellent customer service to alllevels of management, including Executives and VIPs

              Interpersonal Communication: Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey orexchange information related to security enforcement. Includes giving assignments and/or directions to co-workers or assistants.

              Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, and followverbal and written instruction.Visual Acuity: Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computerterminal, writing, and reading. Must be able to make general observations of facilities or structures.Required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle.

              Language Ability: Requires the ability to read a variety of informational documentation, directions,instructions, methods and procedures related to the job function. Requires the ability to write job-relateddocuments. Requires the ability to speak with and before others with poise, voice control, and confidenceusing correct English and well modulated voice.

              Intelligence: Requires the ability to learn and understand relatively complex principles and techniquesrelated to job duties; to make independent judgments in absence of supervision; to acquire knowledge oftopics related to primary occupation.Numerical Aptitude: Requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; add, subtract, multiply anddivide figures; determine percentages; determine time weight.

              Form/Spatial Aptitude: Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width, and shape, visuallywith job-related equipment.

              Motor Coordination: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes in using job-related equipment.

              Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items including computer equipment, controlknobs, switches, other job-related equipment, etc. Must have the ability to use one hand for twisting orturning motion while coordinating other hand with different activities. Must have above average levels ofeye/hand/foot coordination.

              Color Discrimination: Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades of color.

              Interpersonal Temperament: Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receivinginstructions related to job function. The worker needs to relate to people in situations involving more thangiving or receiving instructions under stressful situations. Must be adaptable to performing underconsiderable stress when confronted with an emergency.

              Physical Communication: Requires the ability to talk and/or hear: talking, expressing or exchanging ideasby means of spoken words; those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spokeninstructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly. Requires the ability to hear: perceiving the nature ofsounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; ability to receive detailed informationthrough oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

              Technical Skills: Requires ability to utilize skills relating to computers and electronic devices and grasprelated processes; ability to operate and activate computer as it relates to job related functions.

              Position: Must be able maintain a stationary position combined with the ability to occasionally moveabout the property to access job-related equipment, machinery, facilities, etc. Must be able to push, pull,and transport up to 60 pounds.Environmental Conditions: Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
