Personal Lines HNW New Business/Account Executive

Primary_Functions: NEW_BUSINESS_DEVELOPMENT 1. Meets agency s objectives for client service, account develop placement of business. Aligns with Strategic Plan goals. All accounts treated as VIP. 2. New Business: a. Discusses new business opportunities with prospects including insurance needs, goals, and preparing/presenting/finalizing proposals. Returns prospect calls the same business day or refers to department manager. Sends proposal within timeframe agreed upon with prospect. b. Actively refers clients to Life & Health and to Commercial Lines Departments for solicitation. Refers at least 5 prospects to Life & Health per quarter. c. Analyze new business for market availability, confirm underwriti guidelines and set up for quoting. d. Submits to carriers and negotiates best terms for the prospect. Fo up to completion.All business submitted to carriers qualify for that carrier's program. e. Presents agency proposal to client clearly explaining coverage t and cost. f. Prepares required applications, supplemental documents and gathe required binding forms.Delivers new business policies to clients within 15 days. g. Oversees new business tasks assigned to ReSourcePro and coordinate prioritization of work as necessary. h. Reviews invoicing and checks new business policy when received and codes to new Account Executive. 3. Develop sales opportunities and marketing plans; generate letters follow-up with all contacts. 4. Develops Best Practice quoting procedure for the agency. 5. Attend Networking events. Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources. 6. Attend Sales seminars, company meetings and education opportunitie stay current with latest development in the market. CLIENT_MANAGEMENT 1. Aligns with Strategic Plan goals. Services all clients as VIP status. 2. Handles all phone calls, outside client visits and walk-in activity by clients and carriers. Phone calls are returned the same day or referred to manager for handling. 3. Working with clients to perform re-markets, answer questions regarding coverages and ensuring the coverages meets the needs of the client, cross sell to other departments. 4. New Accounts: 5. Works with other Account Executives on transition of new business by reviewing EPIC notes to familiarize themselves with the new account. Send AE intro email to the client. Works to clear up any open activities from the New Business bindingwithin 72 hours. 6. Rounding: 7. Follows the Agency program to round personal lines accounts. At time of renewal, review open and closed activities to determine if additional coverage is beneficial to the client based on past conversations and revised company contracts. Review coverage eligibility requirements with company underwriter. 8. Profiles, sends rounding email(s); follows-up and creates new lines. 9. Uses every contact as an opportunity to round the account and review coverages the insured needs; communicates those needs successfully. 10. Renewals: 11. Responsible for timely renewal reviews on assigned Book of Business. Full review to be conducted every three years on non-VIP accounts and annual review on VIP accounts. 12. Delegates tasks to others within the agency and ReSourcePro as appropriate. 13. Manages their Home page in EPIC by keeping open activities current. 14. Set up policy changes in EPIC and assigns to Assistant Account Executive for processing. 15. Attends carrier seminars. 16. Proficient in duties of the Assistant Account Executive. 17. Reviews company contracts and products independently each week. 18. Mentor for less experienced staff within the Personal Lines department. 19. Any other duties or projects that may be assigned by Agency Management. Technical_Skills: * NJ or NY Property and Casualty license required * Minimum of one-year high net worth carrier experience * One-year previous of business development experience * Bachelor s degree preferred * Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications and Chubb, AIG, Pure, and Cincinnati websites. Knowledge of Applied EPIC software preferred but not required * Completion of an insurance professional designation as agreed upon with Personal Lines manager Characteristics: * Superior customer service skills, including empathy * Good negotiation skills * Relationship building skills * Results oriented, resourceful * Troubleshooter and collaborative thinker * Creative * Proactive and takes initiative * Organizational and time management skills * Attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work independently or as part of a team * Professional demeanor and appropriately attired for office environment * Respectful to all * Ability to maintain a positive attitude, express enthusiasm and be flexible * Ability to delegate * Good work ethic including willingness to assist co-workers and work extra hours on priority projects infrequently but as needed.
