Senior Analyst, Compensation

Job Description:

  • Focus on demonstrating teamwork within and outside of the HR Department in handling assigned responsibilities and activities
  • Evaluate proposed and existing jobs by reviewing job descriptions against internal criteria and external benchmark data to ensure grade and salary recommendations are commensurate with market and internal equity
  • Strong involvement in the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of global annual compensation programs and associated payroll processing as it pertains to data integrity, compensation planning tool functionality, testing, and ongoing support
  • Maintain and audit business processes, incentive targets, incentive payout rules, and job profiles
  • Model, evaluate, and analyze salary data providing detailed analysis for review
  • Participate in annual salary surveys, interpret compensation data, and provide analysis and recommendations for any job match and/or level changes
  • Partner with HR Service Center to ensure accuracy in HR data including compensation, levels, titles, bonus program, and salary structures
  • Manages assigned departmental projects from inception to completion: timelines, resource availability, deliverables, status updates, etc
  • Create ad-hoc reports, compensation modeling, and analysis as necessary
  • Assists in the development, writing, editing and modification of policies, guidelines, and procedures for the Compensation Team and provides recommendations
  • Assist within the Health & Welfare benefits and retirement function as needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Expert MS Excel (i.e. working with complex formulas) and PowerPoint skills, proficient in MS Word
    • Exposure to compensation in the areas of merit pay programs, incentive and bonus plans, job evaluation, and salary survey use & methodology
    • Strong mathematical, statistical and analytic skill to create meaningful and understandable analyses and modeling
    • Research, critical thinking and evaluation skills - ability to identify insights from quantitative data, reason through data findings and use skills to develop recommendations with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently, and the initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
    • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
    • Ability to be confidential and professional on sensitive and privilege information
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
    • Working knowledge of global survey warehousing tool, Salary.com highly desirable ; HRIS systems- UltiPro preferred
    • Working knowledge of salary survey vendors and submission processes and templates
    • Understanding of SOX processes and compliance to ensure adherence of the function
    • Experience in 401k, health and welfare benefits a plus Education and Experience:
