We help brands activate and engage consumers across the content ecosystem. Team Whistle is looking for a seasoned, detail-oriented, and highly organized person to join the team as an Analyst. As Team Whistle continues to grow, our roster of winnable markets also grows, leading us to prioritize new business opportunities. That is why within Team Whistle we are developing a fast-paced, collaborative, innovative social-first full service media property and we want you to build with us! We are looking for a Analyst to join our Analytics and Insights Team, who is:--

  • Masterful at telling stories using data
  • Able to visualize and present complex information in a simple, digestible way--
  • Can integrate multiple data sources and translate them into actionable insights that influence business partners
  • Able to juggle multiple competing priorities at once

  • Has a passion for digital media and entertainment, is an avid social media user and exhibits a strong intellectual curiosity-- Desired Skills & Background
    • 1-2 years experience--
    • Pluses for: experience at a digital content publisher and/or within sports and entertainment media--
    • Prior experience in analytics (social/marketing/business), consumer insights or other applicable field at a media brand or marketing agency
    • Analytics on social media platforms a plus
    • Pluses for: experience using third party social / audience analytics platforms such as: Tubular, CrowdTangle, ComScore
    • Possesses a mix of quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
      • Should have experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets, with favorite advanced formulas & functions, ex: Pivot Tables, V-LOOKUP, etc---
      • Pluses for: experience with data programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, etc-----
        • Should have experience building data visuals in: Excel and/or Google Sheets--
        • And building presentations/decks in: Powerpoint and/or Keynote and/or Google Slides
        • Pluses for: experience with data visualization / business intelligence software such as: Tableau, Power BI, etc---
        • Comfortable with large data sets
        • Ability to visualize and present complex information in a simple, digestible way Responsibilities
          • Synthesize large amounts of data from disparate sources into audience insights, content development ideas and marketing recommendations for internal teams & clients--
          • Manage and analyze data from social platforms (YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook Instagram, etc) to develop actionable strategies that increase social media video/post performance and channel growth to drive revenue
          • Partner with marketing and business development teams and supply data-driven insights to support new business proposals
          • Lead on brand partnership campaign reporting (measurement setup, in-flight tracking and post-campaign recaps)
          • Tell digestible stories to internal stakeholders and clients with data; build polished, scalable, insightful decks/spreadsheets that benchmark performance and emphasize recommendations
          • Assist in design and execution of proprietary consumer research studies--
          • Manage internal tracking and reporting cadence for critical metrics and KPIs Sample Projects
            • Collect, analyze and report on YouTube, Snapchat performance for a global sports federation client--
            • Lead on weekly performance reporting our primary Snapchat Discover channel focused on lifestyle/culture
            • Send internal weekly newsletter to keep the company informed about highlights/trends relating to our content and audience
            • Do deep dive season-over-season analyses into our flagship social video shows to extract insights to inform future episodes' content strategy & production
