Milliman's NYC Health Practice consults to clients on the financial and utilization characteristics of disease processes and treatments as well as healthcare reform, risk arrangements, and payer systems. Primary roles

  • Help manage and develop clients among ACOs, insurers, and pharmaceutical companies
  • Develop claims-based methodologies for administrative claim based studies
  • Author client reports and publications for peer-reviewed journals
  • Collaborate with and supervise data analysts
  • Assist junior colleagues with the development of their analytic skills
  • Apply your experience to a wide array of healthcare system topics including healthcare reform


    • Required:
      • At least five years of experience in the field.
      • PharmD, RN, MD, MPH, MS, PhD, FSA, ASA or similar background
      • Current experience with MarketScan and/or Medicare (or similar) administrative claims databases.
      • Excellent understanding of medical coding systems (CPT, ICD, DRG, etc.)
      • Experience with healthcare finance and payer systems.
      • Comfortable performing literature searches, creating analysis plans, and writing reports for a wide array of healthcare topics.
      • New York City location
      • Preferred:
        • Experience in insurance, finance, or outcomes research
        • Experience programming in SAS/SQL.
        • Knack for prioritizing and completing multiple projects and tasks
        • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
        • Strong oral and written communication skills
        • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
