DBRS is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join its QA team in Global Structured Finance Group. The QA team is a growing team and is managed by the Group Managing Director of the Global Structured Finance Group. The mission of the QA team is to promote compliance with DBRS policies and procedures by the Global Structured Finance Group. This role is fundamental to the goals of DBRS delivering timely and comprehensive credit opinions to the market and "getting the rating right". The QA Analyst will be a key resource for the Global Structured Finance Group to help comply with DBRS policies and procedures. The QA Analyst will support the US Asset-Backed-Securities (ABS), US Residential-Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), US Structured Credit, North American Commercial-Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) and Canadian Structured Finance teams in New York, Stamford and Chicago in the US and Toronto, Canada, respectively. The QA Analyst will report directly to the Assistant Vice President, QA. This position is located in New York City. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a suite of management reports for the Group Managing Director and other internal users.
  • Assist with streamlining existing processes and implementing new processes to create efficiencies for the Global Structured Finance Group.
  • Conduct follow-up activities with analytical staff to promote compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Assist with reviewing and gathering rating documents for regulatory exams.
  • Collaborate with Compliance teams and Information Technology teams on various projects as needed.
  • Develop and maintain periodic status reports on employee training for the Global Structured Finance Group as needed.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in financial field or in a compliance role.
    • High proficiency in MS Office tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong spreadsheet skills; database skills a plus.
    • Ability to work effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently.
    • Ability to work effectively in a support role with analysts of all levels, and to senior management when needed.
    • Personable, eager to learn, excellent organization skills.
