Job Purpose
This position is responsible for analyzing, implementing, and communicating National Grid benefit plans and programs (exclusive of 401K and Pension Benefits) in the US for both active and retired employees. As a member of the benefits strategy team, a successful candidate will help ensure that benefit plans are market competitive, cost effective, and meeting the needs of National Grid's diverse workforce.
Key Accountabilities

• 
  Develop and analyze health & welfare benefits performance metrics.
• Identify data trends and patterns to drive benefit strategy decisions and program engagement.
• Evaluate health & welfare, voluntary, and wellbeing industry trends to support future benefit strategy
• Collaborate with the total rewards center of expertise and benefits broker in the design and actuarial review of benefit programs.
• Provide analytical support during contract negotiations with collective bargaining units.
• Support project management initiatives through evaluation of return on investment and cost to achieve.
• Evaluate benefits legislation and impact on current benefit offerings and future benefits strategy.
• Participate in development and rollout of benefits initiatives, including communication campaigns and Open Enrollment, and other projects as assigned.
• Participate in health and welfare benefit plan surveys.Qualifications
