neighborhoods and growing good jobs.Position Overview: -NYCEDC is
seeking to hire an analyst to work with and provide support to
interdisciplinary and interagency teams to develop and implement
plans for complex redevelopment and revitalization projects in New
York City neighborhoods.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to support large-scale
transportation planning and development efforts.
- Assist in the crafting and implementation of public outreach
processes, including providing administrative and staffing support
for events, workshops, charrettes, meetings, and other professional
and public forums.
- Assist in the preparation of a wide variety of materials to
support project teams including graphics, maps, presentations, web
content, narratives, and other materials.
- Prepare detailed project plans and consultant scopes of work,
and work independently to advance projects.
- Closely manage consultants, vendors, and other resources to
provide additional support to projects, as needed.
- Maintain project budgets and assist in the preparation of
financing and implementation strategies for projects.
- Interact with administrative support departments and other
project implementation stakeholders.
- Assist the Department in building and maintaining relationships
with governmental and quasi-governmental entities; real estate and
business groups; civic & community organizations; cultural and
professional organizations; and advocacy groups. Minimum
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in urban planning, architecture,
geography, real estate, public policy, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and analytical
skills.
- Experience with public outreach processes and communications
with community stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management.
- Experience with developing content for websites, reports, and
other media.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Graphic design, mapping, presentation, and geo-analytical
skills.
- New York City residence is required within 180 days of
hire

accommodation for religion or disabilityPreferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and ArcGIS preferred
- Demonstrated interest in economic or community planning and
development.
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Understanding and interest in urban planning, freight and
passenger transportation, infrastructure, and economic development
issues.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial and leadership skills, including
interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Experience and interest in graphic design, websites, and/or
