Global Financial Services Industry leader has an immediate need for
a Senior Fixed Income Support Analyst / FIX Engineer to join a
growing Product Support Team. The team requires a motivated
self-starter who has the technical skills to support a growing
customer base in London and Europe using their FIX, Linux/Windows,
database and networking skills. This role will be predominantly
based on the Fixed Income desk partnering with sales, technology
teams, and business stakeholders. In this role you will work across
a multitude of cross-platform market-leading technologies to
support the running of our electronic trading platform. The
successful candidate will be primarily responsible for FIX
onboarding, certification, support, and protocol enhancement
including the daily support of the platform. The successful
candidate should possess a positive 'can-do' attitude and an
intuitively high level of customer service in their approach. This
will complement strong FIX, database (SQL, Sybase or Oracle), as
well as Windows Administration and basic network troubleshooting.
_RESPONSIBLITIES_ Defining FIX requirements / specifications and
propose new FIX workflows to extend electronic trading and post
trade processes and protocols Working with clients and vendor FIX
teams to certify, build and roll out new FIX connections Utilizing
proprietary tools, provide daily application support and
troubleshooting for clientsand internal users. Troubleshooting and
analysis of order routing and trade flow and post-trade issues
Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all processes
are up and members are connected to the platform Contribute towards
'follow the sun' support model, working closely with global teams
in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for
each region Daily interaction with Sales and Trading with regards
to support issues Create and track issues within an
incident-tracking system to help identify trends and patterns
Create and monitor internal reports and usage queries Assist with
product testing and project work _SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE_ Deep
understanding of FIX protocol and experience supporting FIX flows
At least 5 years' experience using FIX 4.4, 4.2 and 5.0 At least 5
years hands-on support experience within a financial institution or
fintech company. 3 years' experience within client-facing technical
organizations. Demonstrable working knowledge of Fixed Income
products and flows Hands-on working knowledge of at least one
industry-recognized Order Management System Solid application
support experience within a Unix / Linux environment Hands-on
experience of Maria DB, MYSQL and Oracle database environments,
including query-writing Proven experience of supporting Windows
Server environments Experience in troubleshooting network problems:
i.e. firewall and routing problems
