Job Description:

Business Analyst/Project ManagerThis individual will work closely with the Post Trade Product Owner and fellow analysts to execute projects from inception through production release. This individual will be hands on and involved in all phases of a project, from analysis and requirements gathering, including usability aspects, to functional design, testing, and implementation. The selected candidate will often be involved in multiple projects and may work with the clients, Developers, Sales and Relationship Managers, Application Support and QA teams.Strong skills required in project management, communication, project implementation and agile development methodologies. A working knowledge of SQL, XML, UNIX and experience within securities finance are highly desirable.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Post Trade Product Owner to outline business requirements and support prioritization decisionsAct as lead analyst for projects managing all project tasks; ensure all milestone dates are met on-time and on-budget with a high degree of qualityLead client meetings and internal discussions to define and prioritize business requirementsBreakdown high level information into details and communicate these details in a manner understood by relevant audiencesAnalyze client business requirements, live production data and make recommendations to internal teams in order to drive data driven designDevelop HTML (or other) prototypes for use during client discussions, demo's and usability testingIdentify required changes to the system and impact based on client needsDissect complex problems into component parts and identify the most efficient technical solution; develop associated user stories and acceptance criteria outlining the solution to be implementedDesign and create workflows, flowcharts, and relevant documentation of requirements for developersWork closely with development team during the functional design phase to confirm the viability of designsWork with QA team to complete internal test preparation by creating test cases, test conditions and test data and execute testing internally, inclusive of documenting results, tracking defects and troubleshooting defects and issues that arise out of testingPlan, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Tests with clientsCreate client facing technical documentation to support releasesAssist Application Support team with production implementation onboarding, issues and inquiries during initial release phaseLearn the underlying securities finance business, the EquiLend systems at a detailed technical levelRequirements5+ years of analyst and/or project management experience5+ years of User Experience design for Web ApplicationsExperienced in agile implementation methodologies and creation of associated artifacts (i.e., user stories, acceptance criteria, mock ups, clickable prototypes, UI specifications, etc.)College degree required; graduates with a technical degree background preferred (MIS, CS, physics, mathematics, software engineering)Excellent organizational, time and project management skills; able to effectively manage multiple work streamsStrong analytical and problem solving skills; able to handle complex information with accuracy and intense attention to detailSelf-motivated with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperienced in facilitating discussions with clients and internal teamsDemonstrated ability to build rapport and interact effectively with all levels and across all areas of an organizationGood judgment, high ethical standards and a strong work ethic are a mustKnowledge of securities finance or capital markets is highly regardedExperience with:MS Office toolsSQLUNIXXMLVisioKnowledge of the following areas is a plus:Securities FinanceSettlementsOur Benefits - EquiLend is proud to offer a robust suite of benefits designed to support employees at all stages of life and career:Hybrid schedule with substantial remote flexibilityGenerous PTO, plus bank holidaysHealth insurance coverage beginning on day 1 of employment; competitive plan options (health, vision, dental, and transit)401(k) employer matching contribution planFriendly environment; regular company events (both virtual and in-office); access to an employee engagement platformWeekly remote yoga sessions, paid access to a mindfulness-based mental health appFinancial support for select training and skills building opportunities
