Consumer Complaints Analyst
Pay Rate: $17.97/hr
Location: New York
Prefer candidate NJ/NY so can go onsite 3 times a week but also
open to remote from any US location but will need to work EST.
Contract to perm
Reports To: Manager
Legal Department, Consumer Complaints Division
Job Description:
The Consumer Complaints Analyst is responsible for investigating
consumer complaints received from state insurance departments and
other quasi-regulatory bodies and addressing the allegations in a
response letter.
Job Accountability:
--- Conduct a thorough review of each complaint to ensure that all
issues referenced by the complainant are investigated and
addressed
--- Work closely with adjusters, underwriters and attorneys to
provide complete written responses to regulators
--- Ensure that all pertinent information gathered during the
complaint investigation that supports the insurer's position is
included in the electronic case file
--- Monitor assigned workload to ensure that all complaints are
responded to by the statutory response date
Required Skills:
--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have
the ability to communicate with internal colleagues and regulators
with a high degree of professionalism and confidence
--- Must have good interpretive skills
--- Must give meticulous attention to details
--- Must be well organized and work with limited supervision
--- Must be able to multi task and effectively manage competing
priorities
--- Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Prior experience
working as a paralegal for a law firm or corporate legal department
of an insurance company preferred, but not required. A certificate
from a Paralegal Studies program is a plus.
