growing good jobs.Position Overview:Reporting to the Vice President
of FP&A, the Senior Analyst will support both quick turn-around
analyses, as well as longer term projects on a variety of revenue
and expense topics. The candidate will be expected to develop and
manage ad hoc reporting tools utilizing Great Plains (GP) and MRIX
(Real Estate Software) systems. Experience with programming and
ability to analyze and distill results is a plus.Essential Duties
and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of financial projections; monitor and
present budget-to-actual variance analyses and analyses of budget
requests and allocations
- Create and compile revenue and expenditure reports from
NYCEDC's applications GP & MRI
- Contribute to the development of cash flow projections during
budget adoption and mid-year reforecast with the use of metrics and
other monitoring tools
- Maintain existing and create new and innovative reporting tools
to keep senior management updated on spending progress to help
determine if the corporation is on track to meet financial
targets
- Design queries and macros to streamline daily, monthly,
quarterly, and annual reporting
- Assist in developing and maintaining financial data for NYCEDC
subsidiaries
- Support programming and automation needs of FP&A team as
needed
- Work collaboratively with other members of FP&A and other
divisions/departments
- Other duties as assignedQualifications:
- BS/MS degree in finance, accounting, economics, information
systems, quantitative methods, data analytics, business, or public
administration, or in a related field
- 3-5years of professional experience in financial reporting or
data analysis at a government, private or public policy non-profit
entity
- Experience and knowledge of creating reports using Power BI,
Power Queries, advanced proficiency in Excel Visual Basic for
Applications (VBA), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team
to carry out projects to their completion
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, meet deadlines and manage
changing priorities
- Willingness to learn new data tools and new subject
matters
- Experience with accounting software, such as Microsoft Great
Plains (GP), MRI, and/or Concur a plus
- New York City residence is required within 180 days of
