We're looking for a Fa--ade Access Consultant to help lead our dynamic and diverse fa--ade access team. Supported by a Principal, this is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic leader to leave their mark on game-changing global projects. • Project Leader for appropriate group projects, taking ownership for sustained and productive client relationships
• Direct multiple projects across the group, taking responsibility for the facade access design solutions, including preparation of reports and equipment specifications, while ensuring financial success
• Deliver a risk managed portfolio; working within agreed capital lock up parameters
• Ensure 'design rigor' is delivered on each project, and in particular ensuring design QA processes are fully planned and implemented
• Maintain appropriate understanding of prevailing policies and technical innovations applying in the architectural engineering industry
• Work closely with other specialisms within the firm, embrace structures, MEP and specialist groups and ensure facade access is fully integratedGroup Operations
  • Oversee and mentor all levels of staff so that meaningful delegation can apply within the team
  • Ensure latest learning and development initiatives are implemented as required within the team
  • Champion delivery of the company's Performance and Development Review process in support of all the above
  • Support the management of reward and recognition of the team
  • Take on a broader leadership role across the US business for facade access, looking at ways to develop our facade access offeringBusiness Development
    • Work with Group Director, Managing Director, Business Development and Marketing to identify new business
    • Promote Buro Happold's integrated services to potential clients
    • Review financial and technical submissions/proposals, attending interviews
    • Develop and maintain key client relationships under all circumstances, maximizing opportunities for repeat businessWhat we are looking for
      • 8+ years' experience of delivering innovative and creative fa--ade access solutions within a dynamic organization, with a strong focus on application engineering and design of high-performance fa--ade access equipment systems and technologies, or equivalent experience with a major equipment manufacturer
      • University degree, preferably in engineering, architecture, business administration, or equivalent experience in the field
      • Professionallylicensed engineer and background in the fa--ade access manufacturing industry is desired
      • Strong people management and leadership skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Knowledge of architectural design, property development, facilities management, and construction marketplace
      • Detailed knowledge of the full range of codes and standards governing the facade access industry, including powered suspended, ground-based, and work-at-height systems
      • Outstanding relationship management skills, ability to build and develop sustained working relationships with clients, colleagues, and wider network of the AEC industry
      • Solid understanding of facade access systems and the creative application of these systems to solve access and maintenance challenges on the most complex geometry facades and building types
      • Demonstrated expertise in digital applications for design and application of the full range of facade access systemsWhat we offer:
        • Salary range of $90,000 to $165,000. This will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience
